David Dressler is Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in BC. His training includes a BA from Reed College, University of Victoria counselling pscyhology courses, certificates from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, Canadian College of Osteopathy, Upledger Institute in CranioSacral (Levels 1 and 2), Ursa Institute in Muscle Energy (spine and extremities), also pregnancy massage, Vita-Flex reflexology with the originator Stanley Burroughs, Awareness Through Movement with Moshe Feldenkrais, and 16 years of professional dance training as one of BC’s pioneer modern dancers.
David has practiced massage therapy for 27 years, treating more than 10,000 patients in Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler and Gibsons, BC. Techniques include Swedish, deep tissue, CranioSacral, Muscle Energy, muscle balancing, Light-Touch Mobilization Technique (LTMT) which he created, Fendenkrais Awareness Through Movement, and Wavemotion.
David Dressler was a professional dancer as well as actor and body builder. He has also published in medical journals (mainstream and alternative), health, dance and the arts, and is a freelance editor and investigative journalist. As well, David exhibits decades of dedication to healthy lifestyle including exercise and nutrition. He is also knowledgeable in anti-aging medicine and was a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He is a current member of Health Action Network Society and the Life Extension Foundation.
David published original research on his Light-Touch Mobilization Technique, the only double-blind study known in the field of massage therapy, in 1990.
